Kai Neville is a prodigy of sorts in the world of surf-film production. A study of legendary director Taylor Steele, Neville’s web series Landscape Altered shows what the surf world might be in for if new school fans of the genre have their way. Thus far Kai’s work is being heralded for his keen eye and nuance for both musical scoring and the cultured presence of each rider’s individual style. Even for the non-surf enthusiast, his work represents something even greater than the sport itself: A vantage point into the lives of those whose passion and livelihood is spent on the front lines of our beloved oceans.
